Offline music and playlists for trips without signal
Poor mobile coverage does not have to end your listening session. WaveAA Music has a local audio library, playlist downloads and optional features for preparing content before a trip.
Prepare while you still have a connection
WaveAA can queue playlist audio downloads and store local copies for supported content. For long trips, prepare your listening library at home on a stable network and check that downloaded audio plays without mobile data before leaving.
Available offline features
- Playlist downloads: queue whole playlists instead of saving tracks one by one.
- Resume: pause, retry or continue interrupted transfers; partial-file continuation depends on the remote server supporting HTTP Range.
- Android Auto Offline: browse recently saved audio, offline playlists and offline favorites from the car media service.
- Smart Trip Reserve: an optional planner can prepare recently played, liked or recent playlist content for a trip.
- Listen & Save: optional local saving after a configurable amount of listening; off by default.
Offline checklist
- Install WaveAA Music and open the offline area.
- Choose music or playlists you are permitted to save.
- Allow the downloads to finish while connected to Wi-Fi.
- Verify local playback before going offline.
- If using Android Auto, connect the phone and select the offline library.
Keep storage and permissions in mind
Audio files use device storage. Download size, available formats and access depend on the source. Save only content you are entitled to use and follow applicable service terms. Offline audio is distinct from streaming internet radio, which normally requires a live connection.
